Our Scout Group has spaces in Troop Scouts (Grades 6-9).

Developing life skills to climb the mountain of their goals and reach their personal summit, Venturers embark on greater expeditions and acquire real-world experiences that prepare them for future success.
Challenge
The 1st Glenayre Scouts meet Tuesdays, 7:30-9:00pm.
1st Glenayre Venturers have a varied program including camps as a group, or with other groups from around the Province, at the so-called "social camps." 1st Glenayre Venturers take on a leadership role within the group, helping to plan many activities and fundraisers. Many Venturers further develop their leadership skills volunteering at the biennial Canadian and Pacific Jamborees.

The Outdoor Adventure Skills program has 9 skill pathways: Camping, Trail, Paddling, Aquatic, Emergency Aid, Winter, Vertical, Sailing, and Scoutcraft. Each skill is divided into nine stages with a badge awarded for each stage. The outdoor Adventure skills are progressive from Beavers through to Rovers, youth build on skill development as they move through the different Scout "sections" (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, and Rovers.)

Parents: if you log in to your Scoutstracker account you can mark of skills your youth has completed outside of Scouts, so they get credit!
The "Top Section Award" for Venturers is the Queen's Venturer Award. Scouts work towards their award with their Patrol or Troop.
